Kathy joined New World Ventures in February, 2000 from Thoma Cressey Equity Partners, a national private equity firm specializing in industry consolidations. As the controller, Kathy established and oversaw the firm's accounting and human resources departments and set up the Thoma family accounting office.
Prior to Thoma Cressey, she worked part-time as an assistant to the treasurer in a private family office and started her own small tax preparation and accounting service out of her home. Previous to this part-time work, Kathy worked full time as a tax manager at KPMG, focusing on high net worth individuals, privately held businesses and real estate limited partnerships.
Kathy earned her B.S. with a double major in accounting and finance from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and earned her Masters in the Science of Taxation (M.S.T.) from DePaul University. Kathy is also a Certified Public Accountant.
